Dr. Charles H. Davis, owner of Davis Eye Center, is one of the area’s foremost Board Certified Ophthalmologists specializing in laser vision correction and cataract surgery.  Dr. Davis has led the way in cutting technology, from being the first surgeon in the area to perform “no-stitch” cataract surgery, the first locally to become trained and certified in femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery with the LenSx laser, to being the first in the state of Ohio to use the WaveLight Refractive Suite for LASIK.

Dr. Davis has performed over 40,000 laser refractive procedures, including PRK and LASIK, and over 30,000 cataract surgeries.  This extensive experience and excellent training allows him to offer his patients superior results with industry leading safety and efficiency.  Dr. Davis is able to offer refractive results to both cataract and LASIK patients with the most current technology available for both procedures.

Dr. Davis graduated magna cum laude from West Virginia University in 1978 and received his medical degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 1982. He completed his medical internship and ophthalmology residency at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.  In 1987, Dr. Davis opened his practice in Cuyahoga Falls.  The Davis Eye Center opened in 1997 where he is the Medical Director for both The Center for Surgery and Davis Eye Center Laser Suites.

Dr. Davis is the recipient of the elite VISX Star Award, recognizing him as one of the top 10% refractive surgeons in the nation.  Best Doctors in America also recognized Dr. Davis as being in the top 5% of all ophthalmologists in the region.  He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and belongs to the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.  He is Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology with NEOMED, assisting with resident physician education.  Dr. Davis is also a consultant with Alcon’s U.S. Surgical Marketing Division to provide education on the LenSx Laser to visiting physicians.

Dr. Davis resides in Stow with his wife, Barbara. They are the parents of three adult children.
