In these rare cases, we offer an ICL that is surgically placed in the eye rather than reshaping the surface of the cornea with a laser. This procedure is typically for those in their 20s or 30s who are not dependent on reading glasses.<\/p>\n<h3>Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE)<\/h3>\n<p>Similar to the Implantable Collamer Lens procedure, a Refractive Lens Exchange is a surgical option for patients when laser correction may not be the best long term choice. This procedure removes the patient&#8217;s natural crystalline lens and replaces it with an Intraocular Lens Implant. Surgical options give the patient the ability to correct distance, intermediate and near vision to achieve their visual goals.
